The Alpine SWE-1000, is for those audio fans who love low bass at moderate volumes without the hassle of fitting additional amplifiers and sub-woofers loosing on boot space. The bass kick is really awesome when listening to R&B, Rap, Drum & Bass. The low pass filter creeps in to do its stuff effectively and can make you smile. I am using it in conjunction with 4 x fly speakers 150RMS each + 1 x Centre Speaker Alpine SBS 05DC1 (50Watt RMS) , 1 x JVC AVX 33 head unit. It really sounds like a B&O system even though have not used a 4 way amp for the speakers. The head unit is the best one can buy for his/her money as it is absolutely mind blowing. The main idea is to achieve excellent sound at low volumes. Excessive bass given by 12" subs tends to shudder (loved it when I was a teen though), however the SWE -1000 does away with the requirement of additional amps /large subwoofers and loose boot space which is important to all.
